How to distinguish pvdf and powder coated aluminum sheets

A color coated aluminum sheet has fluorocarbon paint (or polyester paint) of various colors on the surface. It is baked and cured at high temperature, also known as painted aluminum plate. It can be used for exterior wall and interior wall decoration of building, indoor Ceiling ceiling and so on.

How to distinguish pvdf coated sheet and powder coated aluminum sheet

1. Measure the thickness. The thickness of a pvdf sheet with three coatings is 40UM, and the powder coating is at least 60UM (generally).

2. Check the surface flatness. The surface flatness of a pvdf sheet is higher and the leveling property is better. The powder coating flatness is poor. That is, the orange peel phenomenon is more obvious.

3. Look at the back side of the sheet. The back surface of the powder coated aluminum sheet has a rough feeling between sprayed and not sprayed areas. The pvdf coated aluminum sheet is better in this point.

4. Use a knife or 400 mesh sandpaper to gently rub the back coating to make a beveled fault. If there are different colors, it is fluorocarbon, (if you find it, you can use a general magnifying glass).
