Technical requirements for aluminum strips used in transformer

The aluminum strip for dry-type transformer is made of high-quality pure aluminum. It has high conductivity, soft texture, smooth surface and no burr. It is an ideal material for the production of dry-type transformers. It is a key raw material for manufacturing transformer windings. A number of technical indicators such as electrical conductivity, burr curling, side bending, surface quality, etc. are very demanding.

The dry-type transformer aluminum strip is generally selected from 1060 aluminum strip, and its aluminum content is more than 99.6%. It is also called pure aluminum plate, which belongs to a commonly used series in the aluminum strip. The advantages of this series of aluminum plates: the production process is relatively simple, the technology is relatively mature, and the price has a huge advantage over other high-grade alloy aluminum plates. With good elongation and tensile strength, it can fully meet the normal processing requirements (stamping, drawing) and high moldability. It is industrial pure aluminum with high plasticity, corrosion resistance, electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity, but its strength is low, heat treatment can not enhance the machinability; gas welding, hydrogen atom welding and contact welding are not easy to braze; easy to bear pressure processing and extension, bending.

The aluminum strip of the transformer has a high aluminum content, and the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of the aluminum are only lower than that of the conventional metal of copper. The electrical conductivity of the metal is in the order of silver, copper, gold, aluminum and nickel. Since the price of copper is much higher than that of aluminum, the most commonly used material for transformer strips is aluminum strip. The transformer aluminum strip has A1060(O), which is mainly used as the conductive material for the high and low voltage windings of the dry type transformer. The chemical composition of the aluminum strip meets the requirements of GB/T 3190-1996 "Chemical composition of deformed aluminum and aluminum alloy". Technical requirements and mechanical properties meet the technical requirements for the supply of finished aluminum foil. Transformer aluminum strip is mainly used in large transformers, solar energy and power industry.
