1060 aluminum strip coild

The 1060 aluminum strip coild is a flexible flat aluminum roll of 1060 alloy, also the main strip product of Haomei Aluminium. The word “coild” is emphasized here to distinguish the strip from a kind of profile product, usually used for lighting, windows, doors, equipment parts etc. The 1060 strip here is simply an aluminum belt roll processed from aluminum coil. It has an edge of a thickness the same with any other part of the strip, without any curling or cladding. As a primary semi-processed aluminum products, the 1060 alu strip is obtained by casting and rolling of aluminum ingot, and then slitting of wider aluminum rolls. The thickness of the strip ranges from 10mm to 1200mm. Wider rolls are called aluminum coil rather than aluminum strip.

1060 is among the most popular alloy of aluminum strips, to which its application in transformer winding contributes a lot. In China people seem to regard aluminium transformer winding inferior to copper winding, for the simple reasons that the electric conductivity of aluminium is smaller, and that they have got used to copper winding. Some even believe that the adoption of 1060 aluminum strip coild will reduce the safety level of transformers. Although the conductivity of aluminium is lower than copper, the aluminum strip transformer can meet the industry demands of the distribution field in the side of no-load and negative load loss. With development in aluminum technology, the effect would be even better. As a matter of fact, the use of aluminum strip is becoming an international trend in the industry.

 

In addition to transformer winding, 1060 aluminium strip coild is also applied to pp caps and soft connection. Soft connection is made of mill finish aluminum strips, but PP cap aluminum strip can be anodized and color coated to meet varied design requirements of the caps.
