As an 11-year supplier of semi-processed aluminum products, we have built a huge database of clients all over the world. Many of our clients are cookware manufacturers. Some have regular orders every season. The cookware industry proves to be the largest consumer of aluminium circle sheets, which makes aluminium circle sheets for cookware a popular product in aluminum manufacturing industry. Here we’d like to introduce manufacturing process of the sheets.

After so many years of development, the manufacturing process for aluminium circle sheets has developed fully. Most workshops are equipped with fully advanced production lines. Such a line consists of a a decoiler, feeding machine, a punch press and a stacking machine. If you use aluminum sheets rather than rolls as raw materials for the circles, it’s unnecessary for you to prepare a decoiler which functions to flatten aluminum rolls. The sheet or flattened roll is fed into the punch press by the feeding machine. The punch press, the punch head size and precision of which have been set in advance, punches circles out of the left part of the sheet and then sways horizontally to the right for punching of the other part. The feeding machine then sends the sheet a little further so that the sheet waste gets out of the punching area which is taken up by the successive part of sheet. Aluminium circle sheets, on the other hand, are sent to the stacking machine. The sheets will be further checked and finished before being delivered out of the factory.

There is a thin layer of oxide film on the surface of aluminium circle sheets for cookware. The film is only 0.00001mm thick. To make the circle sheets more durable, manufacturers usually have the sheets treated to improve thickness of the film. In this way, the cookware will be more resistant to corrosion.
